About the Role:
  • Manage a portfolio of personal tax clients
  • Prepare and review personal tax returns, including self-assessment, tax returns, partnership tax returns, and trust tax returns
  • Deliver tailored tax planning advice to clients, ensuring quality and compliance at every step
  • Liaise with HMRC to resolve tax queries quickly and effectively on behalf of clients
  • Support business development strategies, attending prospective meetings and quoting for services
  • Oversee junior team members, including workflow management, quality control, and providing training
  • Build trusted client relationships, proactively handling queries and problem-solving
  • Keep up-to-date with tax knowledge, championing knowledge sharing across the team

Requirements:
  • ACA/ACCA/CTA qualified or part-qualified
  • Qualified by experience within UK practice also considered
  • Technically efficient across taxation, including income tax, capital gains tax, and inheritance tax
  • Proven track record of managing a portfolio of personal tax clients
  • Supervisory experience with good people management skills
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and eager to progress
  • Proficient in using relevant tax software, including Microsoft Office
  • A drive to deliver technical knowledge as a point of call for the team
  • Confident in reviewing processes and improving systems to boost efficiency
  • Strong communication skills are essential, both verbal and written
  • Commercial business acumen
