Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Employment Tax Manager/Senior Manager to join our team at PKF Smith Cooper. As a key member of our tax practice, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive employment tax advisory and compliance services to our diverse portfolio of clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development of employment tax services, including advising clients on employment tax compliance issues and queries, conducting compliance risk reviews, and preparing reports of recommendations.
  • Build strong client and cross-team relationships to ensure our clients receive the highest standard of service.
  • Support business development initiatives and new opportunities, including hosting and presenting at seminars, drafting proposals, and participating in bids/pitches.
  • Identify potential risks, technical issues, and develop practical solutions to changes in technical legislation.
  • Review the work prepared by junior members of the team and assist with their development and progression within the firm.
Requirements
  • Deep understanding of employment tax rules and ability to develop innovative tax strategies to optimise client outcomes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in a client-facing role and working with people of all levels.
  • Motivation to provide the highest quality service to clients and ability to work on numerous projects simultaneously.
  • Car and driving licence required for travel to client sites.
