Senior Data Architect

As a Senior Data Architect at Belmond Management Limited, you will play a key role in shaping the company's data architecture vision and standards. Your primary responsibilities will include developing and delivering long-term strategic goals for data architecture, working closely with the System Architect, Data Science, and BI teams to design data map journeys and integration flows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategy and Planning: Develop and deliver long-term strategic goals for data architecture vision and standards, working closely with the System Architect, Data Science, and BI teams to design data map journeys and integration flows.
  • Operational Management: Develop and implement robust data management methodologies and standards to ensure adequate governance, frameworks, and data quality across the organization.
  • Data Governance: Act as the responsible individual for data governance across the organization, developing and implementing a framework that ensures a high level of data quality, data security, and compliance.

Requirements:

  • 5 years' experience in implementing enterprise data management processes, procedures, and decision support.
  • Demonstrable experience and expertise in data and information system life cycle methodologies.
  • Solid experience with database platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with data architecting, data mining, large-scale data modeling, and business requirements gathering and analysis.
  • An understanding of web services such as REST and SOAP.
  • A proven ability to work with complex multi-source data integration environments, including understanding of API design/management.
  • Hands-on experience with modern ETL tools, BI platforms, and data warehouse solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including Dataform, Big Query, and data pipelines.
  • An understanding of data analysis, budgeting, and business operations.
  • Strong understanding of relational data structures, theories, principles, and practices.
  • An ability to manage data and metadata migration.
  • Good knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
