About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Children's Home Manager to lead our residential care team at Shaw Trust. As a Registered Children's Home Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of care and support for our young people, while also managing the day-to-day operations of the home.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of staff to deliver high-quality care and support to our young people
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and legislation, including Ofsted standards
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of our young people
  • Work closely with other teams, including education and therapy, to ensure a holistic approach to care and support
  • Manage budgets and resources to ensure the effective delivery of services

Requirements:

  • QCF level 5 in Leadership and Management in Residential Childcare (or working towards)
  • Minimum of 2 years recent experience working in a Registered Children's Home setting in a supervisory role
  • Substantive experience in a Managerial role, including supervisory experience
  • Thorough understanding of the regulations and legislations which set the standards within a Children's Home setting
  • Proven track record with Ofsted
  • Ability to work closely with Responsible Individual and key individuals within the strategic partnership
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service
