Job Title

We are seeking a highly skilled NGS Product Development Team Lead to join our team in Manchester.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dynamic and innovative organisation developing novel NGS products.

You will be responsible for leading a team of scientists to develop and implement NGS technologies and molecular diagnostic assays.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement NGS technologies and molecular diagnostic assays
  • Lead and manage a team of scientists to progress projects through stages of the product lifecycle
  • Plan and report on project deliverables, ensuring activities are carried out to schedule
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure products are delivered on time and within specification
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bsc or further degree in Molecular biology or related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years' experience working with NGS technologies, preferably spanning short and long read platforms
  • Expertise in development, verification and validation of NGS technologies and molecular diagnostic assays
  • Ability to lead and mentor teams or scientists in a fast-paced environment
