About the Role

Swift's Standards team is seeking a skilled professional to design, build, maintain, and promote standards for the financial industry.

A key part of our mission is to gather business requirements for the development of standards and market practices for the financial markets. The successful candidate will run international payments market practice group meetings and develop message usage guidelines.

We're the world's leading provider of secure financial messaging services, headquartered in Belgium. Our presence spans 200+ countries and legal territories, serving a community of over 12,000 banks and financial institutions.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field, with 5-10 years of experience in the financial industry. They should possess a proven understanding of ISO 20022 and cross-border payments, as well as strong leadership skills and experience running working groups.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage the implementation of ISO 20022 and cross-border payment standards.
  • Lead working groups to successfully implement new market practices and international standards.
  • Collaborate with various departments to develop and refine APIs.
  • Identify effective strategies and promote the adoption of industry standards through collaboration with financial institutions, service providers, and industry associations.
  • Analyze and interpret complex financial data to support strategic decision-making.
