Voluntary Services Officer - Band 6

The Voluntary Services Team at NELFT NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to fill the role of Voluntary Services Officer - Band 6. This is a 30-hour per week position that requires the successful candidate to oversee and manage the design and delivery of volunteer services across the Trust.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the management of volunteer services in line with NHS England and Helpforce guidelines.
  • Provide advice and guidance to the Trust on governance and management of volunteers.
  • Design, develop, and implement the Trust Volunteer Policy and Strategies.
  • Collaborate with clinical and non-clinical teams to engage, involve, and support volunteers.
  • Provide high-quality guidance and support to operational leads to achieve a positive outcome for volunteers, services, and patients.
  • Engage with staff to promote work experience programs that support the next generation of health professionals.

  • Strong understanding of volunteer management principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to provide high-quality guidance and support to operational leads.
