Oxford Innovation Space, a leading provider of innovation spaces, is seeking a strategic thinker with strong relationship-building skills to fill the role of Innovation Director at Innovation Centre Knowledge Gateway in Colchester, Essex.

About the Role

The Innovation Director will provide high-quality strategic business coaching and innovation support to businesses based in the centre, aiming to enable business growth, innovation development, and commercial success. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing one-to-one coaching to business leaders
  • Coordinating training workshops
  • Connecting businesses with the University's expertise and research strengths

The ideal candidate will have a successful track record in enterprise and innovation development, experience in delivering business management and development, and a strong understanding of entrepreneurial ecosystems. Additionally, they should be able to build a network of regional stakeholders, negotiate commercial partnerships, and manage financial and other resources effectively.
