Job Title: Disability Assessor

Join our team of experienced healthcare professionals as a Disability Assessor, where you will play a vital role in assessing the cases of individuals applying for a Work Capability Assessment (WCA) as part of the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) Health Assessment and Advisory Services (HAAS).

About the Role:

As a Disability Assessor, you will work autonomously to conduct consultations and write comprehensive reports, using your clinical expertise to gain a clear understanding of how an individual's health conditions affect their daily life. You will work in an office-style environment and at home, completing approximately 45-minute assessments over the telephone, video, or face-to-face.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Use your clinical experience to work with individuals with diverse health conditions, gathering information to inform your assessments.
  • Interpret medical evidence and gather your findings into comprehensive reports, supporting the decision-making process by the DWP.
  • Work autonomously, using your clinical expertise to make informed decisions.
Requirements:
  • Registered Nurses, Physios, Paramedics, and Occupational Therapists are eligible to apply.
  • NMC/HCPC registration is required.
  • At least 1 year's broad post-registration experience and UK experience is essential.
  • Proactive, keen to learn, and receptive to feedback.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and I.T competency is a must-have.
