About the Role:

GSL Education is seeking a Behaviour Mentor to join an independent school in Redditch, providing education to students with social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs aged 11-18.

As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a key role in helping students manage their emotions and behaviour to succeed both academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with behavioural needs
  • Help manage challenging behaviour, implementing effective strategies to promote positive behaviour
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to create a positive, nurturing environment
  • Support classroom management and encourage positive behaviour throughout the school day

Requirements:

  • Prior experience working in an SEN setting
  • Strong communication skills and ability to manage challenging behaviours
  • Patience, empathy, and resilience in supporting students with complex needs
  • Sound understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures

Salary Information:

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £40,000 - £43,000 per annum, based on a 5-day working week at £100 - £107 per day.
