Ecologist Position Overview

We are seeking an ambitious Ecologist to join our team at Pebble Recruitment Ltd. As a key member of our ecology team, you will be responsible for undertaking protected species surveys, building tenders, and creating complex fee quotations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake protected species surveys to ensure compliance with UK wildlife legislation
  • Build tenders and create complex fee quotations to secure new business
  • Produce complex technical reports, including PEA reports, BNG reports, and protected species reports
  • Manage medium to large-sized projects, tracking financial progress and ensuring timely delivery
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 3+ years of industry experience in ecology or a related field
  • A degree in Ecology, Environmental Management, or a related field
  • A minimum of 1 protected species license (preferably)
  • A full UK driving license
  • Extensive knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and the ability to apply it correctly
  • Chartered Institute of Ecology & Environmental Management (CIEEM) certification (desirable)
