Autism Support Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Autism Support Assistant to join our dynamic team at GSL Education. As an Autism Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with autism to thrive in our inclusive and nurturing environment.

About the Role

As an Autism Support Assistant, you will provide one-on-one and small group support to students with autism, assisting in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs). You will work closely with teachers to create an inclusive classroom environment, supporting students in developing social, communication, and academic skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide tailored support to students with autism, promoting their social, communication, and academic development.
  • Assist in the creation and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs), ensuring students receive targeted support.
  • Collaborate with teachers to develop and maintain an inclusive classroom environment, promoting student engagement and participation.
  • Monitor and record student progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Support classroom management and behavior support strategies, ensuring a positive and encouraging learning environment.
