Construction Site Manager

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Site Project Manager to join our team at EA Associates. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for planning and organizing construction site activities, leading teams of directly employed and sub-contract labor, and ensuring the timely and quality delivery of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all site-based construction activity on large-store-format refurbishments.
- Develop and enforce safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for workers.
- Supervise and direct the construction team to ensure that the project is completed on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Coordinate with engineers, architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that the construction work meets the project specifications.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including progress reports, construction schedules, and budget reports.
- Monitor and control project costs, including labor, materials, and equipment expenses, alongside a Quantity Surveyor.
- Communicate regularly with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to keep them informed about project progress and any issues that arise.
- Resolve disputes and conflicts that may arise during the construction process.
Requirements:
- Formal qualification in Construction Management and/or a suitable trade background.
- Previous Site Management experience working for a main contractor with a project scope covering retail projects, specifically within grocery retailing or high street fashion retailing.
- Experience working away from home is beneficial, but not essential for candidates who are willing.
