We are seeking a professional interpreter to join our team of freelance linguists working within various settings such as the NHS, Local Authorities, Police, Probation and other public and private organisations.
Language Empire provides professional interpreting and translation services to the public and private sectors across the UK.
As a freelance interpreter, you will be responsible for interpreting for people using legal, health and local government services, checking the non-English speakers understanding after each sentence, and liaising between the service user and service provider.
Requirements include being fluent in English and another language, having the right to work in the UK, and being aged 21 or over. Formal qualifications such as a Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI) or a Degree in Translation/Interpreting/Languages are advantageous.
