About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as a Rough Sleeping Specialist. In this role, you will work with individuals who have complex needs and require additional support from multiple services. Your primary responsibility will be to conduct street outreach and identify individuals who are sleeping rough, providing them with targeted harm reduction advice and information to improve their health and wellbeing.

You will also work closely with partner agencies to attend local hostels and support individuals who are at risk of eviction. Your caseload will consist of individuals who require a trauma-informed and person-centered approach to their care and support.

As a Rough Sleeping Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting street outreach to identify and locate individuals who are sleeping rough
  • Providing targeted harm reduction advice and information to individuals around the risks associated with drug or alcohol use
  • Supporting individuals to improve their health and wellbeing
  • Working closely with partner agencies to attend local hostels and support individuals who are at risk of eviction
  • Managing a caseload of clients who require a trauma-informed and person-centered approach to their care and support
