We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Creative Industries Production Technician Apprenticeship. As a key member of our technical team, you will be responsible for supporting the construction, rehearsal, and presentation of live performances in our iconic venues.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the installation, testing, and maintenance of technical equipment and systems
- Collaborate with stakeholders and team members to ensure seamless execution of live performances
- Monitor and operate systems or services relevant to your workplace
- Assemble scenery and staging systems to meet performance requirements
- Carry out live scene changes and operate stage and suspension systems
We are looking for a candidate who is ambitious, determined, and eager to learn. You should be self-motivated, work well as an active member of a team, and act professionally at all times. Strong attention to detail, planning, and evaluating tasks are essential. You should also have an enthusiastic approach to undertaking a wide variety of duties and communicate confidently and effectively with a wide range of people.
RequirementsYou do not need to have worked in theatre before to apply for this role. It is desirable to have a Level 2 qualification in English and Maths, but we will support you to achieve these qualifications during the apprenticeship. If you already hold a Level 3 or higher qualification in technical theatre, please note that this opportunity is not suitable.
Training and DevelopmentYou will receive comprehensive training and development opportunities, including the Creative Industries Production Technician – Creative Venue Technician Pathway Level 3 Standard. This will equip you with the skills and knowledge to become a multi-skilled technician in the live entertainment industry.
