Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Neuropsychologist to join our team at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional with a passion for neuro-rehabilitation, acquired brain injury, and prolonged disorders of consciousness (PDOC) to work in a specialist neuropsychology department.
About the Role
As a Clinical Neuropsychologist, you will be responsible for providing a specialized psychology service to adults with PDOC/complex brain injury and their families/carers. You will play a key role in providing a specialized neuropsychology service to the Neuro-Rehabilitation Unit, part of the Llandough Centre for Specialised Neuro and Spinal Rehabilitation, as well as outreach to other acute hospitals across the region.
The estimated salary for this role is £54,000 - £66,000 per annum, depending on experience. We offer a supportive multi-disciplinary team, access to a wealth of supervision, and opportunities for professional development.
Main Responsibilities
• Provide complex psychological assessments, formulation, and treatment on an individual and group basis
• Utilize research skills for audit, policy, service development, and research within UHB guidance
• Design services, including consultancy, liaison, research, teaching, and supervision of others
• Offer supervision and teaching to assistant psychologists and doctoral trainee clinical psychologists
