Recovery Support Specialist

We are seeking a Recovery Worker to join our team at our Ashford-based Recovery House. This residential service provides support to individuals with enduring mental health needs who are in crisis. Our service offers a safe and therapeutic environment, including quiet spaces, spaces to socialise, and spaces for sensory activities.
As a Recovery Worker, you will provide recovery-focused support to service users, working in accordance with their personal support plans. You will have well-honed skills in positive communication, engagement, and the ability to demonstrate unconditional positive regard for service users. You will work alongside members of the service user's circle of support to enable individuals to achieve their life goals.
Key ResponsibilitiesKey responsibilities will include:
- Providing support and guidance to service users
- Supporting service users with their medication
- Daily record keeping and incident reporting
- Inducting new staff members into the service
- Ensuring the cleanliness of the service adheres to infection prevention control measures
You will be required to work in a flexible manner on a roster basis, including office hours, evenings, some weekends, and sleep-ins. Two of these posts are for dedicated night Recovery Workers, who will work primarily as lone workers but will be supported by a site-based sleep-in colleague.
