About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Orbis Education and Care. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with autism, helping them to lead fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide person-centred care and support to individuals with autism, tailored to their unique needs and preferences.
  • Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
  • Encourage and support individuals in participating in community activities, leisure pursuits, and educational programs.
  • Foster a positive and supportive environment that promotes independence and personal development.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualised care plans.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and organisational standards.
Requirements
  • A compassionate and caring nature, with a genuine desire to make a positive impact.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.
  • Resilience and patience when faced with challenges, adapting to individual needs.
  • A willingness to learn and follow guidance from the team.
  • Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes.
  • Flexibility to work on a shift basis, including weekends and occasional night shifts.
