**Job Summary:**

We are recruiting a highly skilled Medical Examiner to join our team at the North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust. The role involves investigating deaths, participating in clinical governance activities, and working collaboratively with healthcare teams.

Main Accountabilities:

  • Investigate deaths thoroughly and accurately in line with national guidelines and local policies
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to deliver high-quality clinical governance and death certification services
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to death certification and clinical governance

Requirements:

  • Medical practitioner registered and licensed to practise in the UK by the GMC
  • Up-to-date knowledge of causes of death and understanding of legal frameworks associated with death certification processes
  • IT skills including use of email and commonly used software
  • Knowledge of special requirements of various faith groups and respect for equality and diversity

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment

Salary and Benefits: £105,504 to £139,882 a year, part-time, pro rata
