About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our acute medical team at Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioner, you will play a key role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide advanced patient-centered care under supervision, encompassing assessment, examination, diagnosis, and treatment within an agreed scope of practice.
  • Assist in the safe assessment, management, referral, and discharge of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed presentations.
  • Develop skills in triage of new referrals, making onward referrals, and maintaining professional and legal responsibility and accountability for all aspects of your work.
  • Support the redesign of patient flow and patient referrals to support an integrated healthcare model across Primary and Secondary care.
Person Specification
  • Registered with a relevant professional body.
  • Degree-level registration qualification or equivalent post-registration award.
  • Experience of working within Urgent Care.
  • Ability to motivate individuals and teams.
  • High standard of oral and written communication skills and confidence to discuss patient management with other members of the MDT.
  • High level of capability using outcome measures and audit.
  • Ability to critique own practice.
  • In-depth knowledge in their specialist clinical field.
  • Ability to manage time and workload effectively and to work in a high-pressure environment.
  • Excellent liaison and negotiation skills.
  • Commitment to staff development and training.
