Solar PV Sales Director Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled sales director to drive the growth of our commercial solar project portfolio. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing relationships with key stakeholders, identifying new business opportunities, and driving the sales and deployment of solar photovoltaic (PV) solutions to commercial clients.

About Us:

Our company specializes in energy consultancy services, offering the latest in renewable options from LED lighting, solar panels, EV chargers as well as other specific forms of energy reduction technology. We aim to help businesses reduce their carbon footprint and lower their energy costs.

The Role:

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, project developers, contractors, and industry partners.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the commercial solar PV sector, targeting businesses, municipalities, and institutions.
  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, customer needs, and competitive analysis to inform business strategies.
  • Lead negotiations and close deals to achieve or exceed sales targets and revenue goals.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of business development initiatives, providing regular updates to senior management.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in business development or sales, preferably within the renewable energy or solar industry - B2B.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and developing new business relationships.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events as required.

Estimated Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 per annum.
