CRA GROUP RECRUITMENT AND PAYROLL LTD seeks an experienced Principal Auditor to lead high-risk audits and support junior staff.
About the Role
This is a 12-week contract with local authorities, focusing on budget and resource control. The successful candidate will engage with officers at all levels, including senior management, and supervise junior audit staff to ensure timely and cost-effective audits.
The Postholder will work within a team environment, reporting directly to the Internal Audit Contract Manager and ultimately the Head of Audit and Risk Management. Key responsibilities include providing supervision, on-the-job training, and quality review for junior staff.
Key Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should have excellent communication and leadership skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, along with a thorough understanding of the Public Sector Internal Audit Standards and Bracknell Forest Internal Audit Charter.
Compensation Package
We offer a competitive salary range of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
