Music Industry Contract Specialist

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Music Industry Contract Specialist to join our team at Warner Music Group. As a key member of our legal and business affairs team, you will play a crucial role in negotiating and drafting commercial contracts on behalf of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft and negotiate a range of commercial contracts relating to the creation of assets for use by our label teams in marketing and promoting our artists' releases.
- Advise on and draft terms and conditions for competitions and similar promotional initiatives being undertaken by the label teams.
- Provide general legal and business affairs support as required across the labels, including preparing deal memos, contract summaries, notices, non-disclosure agreements, and side-letters.
About You:
- You have a minimum of 1 year of experience within an in-house music (or similar industry) legal team or in a relevant department in a private practice law firm.
- You have a sound understanding of intellectual property law, particularly copyright and performers' rights.
- You are a clear and confident communicator, personable, and enjoy building relationships with the business and colleagues.
