Education Support Worker Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Education Support Worker to join our team at a SEMH school in Northampton. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and personal development of our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual support and supervision to students, promoting their engagement in the learning process.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to develop and implement individualized learning plans.
  • Assist students with their academic and personal needs, including homework support and behavior management.
  • Contribute to the creation of a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a cohesive and supportive team approach.

Requirements:

  • Experience of working with children and young people, preferably in a SEMH setting.
  • A strong interest in supporting students to overcome barriers to learning.
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and empathize with students.
  • High levels of motivation, commitment, and enthusiasm.
  • Good general standard of education to Level 2, including GCSE Grade 4 equivalent in English and Maths.
  • Ability to transport students, therefore a full driving license and access to a vehicle are essential.
