Hub Maintenance Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our Barnsley Hub Team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our cutting-edge equipment and systems, including Beumer Sorters, Interroll Sorters, and Carousel conveyors. Your expertise in electrical and mechanical maintenance will be essential in minimizing downtime and ensuring the efficient running of our operations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. To ensure the effective maintenance of Mission Critical Equipment, minimizing downtime and ensuring quick response times.
  2. To manage and practice the Company Safety Policy and procedures, ensuring staff are aware and adhering to Health & Safety policy and practices.
  3. To action the requests of the Senior Engineer, Engineering/Site Manager, and communicate with Operational management, Machine Minders, and others as necessary.
  4. To assist in the planning, detailing, and specifying frequencies for planned maintenance, ensuring schedules are effectively carried out.
  5. Liaison and monitoring of external contractors on site.
  6. To be aware of technical developments as applicable to the functions supported in the Hub, making recommendations to the Senior Engineer and Engineering/Hub manager as appropriate.
Requirements
  1. A qualification in an Engineering discipline (i.e. City & Guilds) or be able to demonstrate experience and skill learnt.
  2. Experience and knowledge in Automation is essential.
  3. Electrical with mechanical knowledge of Drivers, Belts, Motors, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Compressors, Dock Levellers, Roller Shutter Doors, Bar Code camera/scanner systems, and General Maintenance Equipment.

  3. Distributed I/O systems.

  6. Electronic field devices.
