Engaging Opportunity for a Teaching Assistant

A prominent educational institution is in search of a committed Teaching Assistant to support their specialized Autism Provision. This full-time position involves working closely with children on the autistic spectrum.

  • Facilitate one-on-one and small group learning sessions
  • Possess a thorough understanding of autism
  • Previous experience in autism support is essential
  • Familiarity with PECS and/or Makaton is preferred
  • Team Teach certification is a plus

The ideal candidate will become part of a nurturing team within a well-equipped Special Educational Needs (SEN) environment, focusing on individualized support for students with specific needs.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive individual who has a genuine commitment to working with children with special educational needs. Relevant experience in a similar capacity is crucial.

Applicants with training in alternative communication techniques such as PECS or Makaton are highly valued. Team Teach training can be provided if needed.
