We are seeking a highly experienced finance professional to fill the role of Interim Head of Finance & Procurement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in local government, with experience in Section 151 responsibilities and S151 experience.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified finance professional to join our team and drive continuous improvement in the finance and procurement functions. You will be responsible for supporting a range of organisation-wide projects and influencing strategic decision-making at the highest levels.

As a member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), you will work closely with the executive Leadership Team (ELT) to oversee the shape and direction of the Service. Your expertise will be invaluable in ensuring that legal responsibilities are being met.

The successful candidate will manage an overall budget of £130m per annum and design and implement a continuous improvement strategy to drive ongoing enhancements in the finance and procurement functions.

You will need to hold a CCAB qualification or equivalent and be technically capable of performing the statutory responsibilities of the role. We are looking for someone who can interact effectively with the leadership team and work across the organisation, as well as having the ability to work with non-financial colleagues and turn financial data into actionable intelligence.

We offer a competitive salary of £95k-£100k per annum, flexible hybrid working arrangements, and the opportunity to make a lasting impact on our organisation.
