About the Role

  • As a Floating Support Worker, you will work independently within the community, delivering personalized support to individuals in housing crisis or at risk of homelessness.
  • You will provide trauma-sensitive support, helping clients take control of their lives and achieve their goals.
  • You will coordinate with other services to ensure the best outcomes for your clients, respecting their choices and diversity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver support services to individuals in housing crisis or at risk of homelessness.
  • Provide life-changing support, helping clients achieve their goals and improve their well-being.
  • Coordinate with other services to ensure comprehensive support for clients.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, community partners, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Experience in support work, particularly with people who are in housing need or homeless.
  • Knowledge of the benefits and housing system.
  • A good understanding of Safeguarding processes and risk assessments.
  • Experience working with people in crisis.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Full-time access to a vehicle to attend appointments in the community.
