Our Living Well Tameside service offers a comprehensive range of support services that enable individuals to discuss their mental health challenges in a non-judgmental and supportive environment.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Peer Support Coach within our Living Well Tameside service, you will provide guidance and support to individuals experiencing common mental health conditions, drawing on your own experiences of mental distress and recovery.
The successful candidate will also have access to Health Coaching Training Level 1 & 2, accredited by the Personalized Care Institute (PCI), as well as a 40-hour Peer Support training experience delivered and accredited by ImROC.
What We Need From You
- You have lived experience of mental health issues and personal recovery
- You can work with individuals who face a range of barriers and social issues
- You can coach individuals (one-to-one and in groups) to help them achieve their goals
- You thrive on building effective working relationships with partners and colleagues
- You can manage a caseload of clients and keep our database records up to date
- You will need an enhanced level DBS check for this role
What We Will Offer You
- An annual salary of £23,893 (NJC SCP 6)
- A fixed-term, 35 hours per week contract
- 25 days holiday, and 30 once you've been here five years
