About this role

We are seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Lead to join our Adult Social Care team in Barking and Dagenham. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and leading workstreams across integrated working with health partners and hospital discharge. This will involve developing and managing relationships with providers of care and support provision, ensuring value for money, and delivering transformative programmes of work and savings plans.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead a team of staff and work closely with others on joint priorities
  • Recommission homecare and reablement services
  • Shape future commissioning intentions and work on market strategies
  • Ensure effective commissioning of our delivery programme for older adults

About you

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent organisation skills and programme management skills, be able to lead and motivate staff, and ensure the delivery of a busy portfolio. You will also need to be able to develop strong working relationships with a range of partners, including Cabinet members, and provide assurance on the delivery of commissioned care.
