Job Title: Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Alexander Steele. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of our equipment and providing full engineering support to our production process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform planned and preventative maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Resolve machine breakdowns to minimize downtime and maximize production efficiency.
  • Assist in maintaining our engineering stores by identifying parts and requisitioning repairs and stock replenishment.
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety and Food Safety standards, and implement best practices to exceed regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • Formal engineering qualification (City and Guilds level or equivalent) or extensive experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 2-3 years' experience in a fast-paced industry, preferably in a food processing environment.
  • Knowledge of modern processing plant machinery and electrical test equipment.
  • Ability to read schematic diagrams and work with single and 3-phase installations.
