Job Description:
This Mechanical Engineer role will see you involved in a wide range of activities on our busy manufacturing site that operates 24/7. You will work Monday to Friday, with a focus on reaction maintenance (75%) and planned & scheduled maintenance (25%). Your duties will include:
- Providing specialised assistance with maintenance repair issues
- Inspecting machines / components and replacing or repairing kit where necessary
- Managing small projects
- Getting involved in new systems integrations, machine upgrades, and ensuring everything is operational from a health and safety perspective
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Be a Mechanical Engineer, Service Engineer, or Maintenance Engineer with relevant experience in food manufacturing
- Hold a BTEC, C&G, or NVQ Level 3 qualification or have equivalent experience through apprenticeships
- Have gained experience in servicing and repairing diverse production plant systems, including conveyors, elevators, sieves, grinders, ancillary services, and process equipment
- Have excellent problem-solving and fault-finding skills
