About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Controller to join our Portfolio Office at the National Physical Laboratory (NPL). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing project management services across NPL, ensuring the successful delivery of projects to the highest standard.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in project controls management, with experience in managing risks and issues within projects/programmes/portfolios and communicating to multiple stakeholders across the business. Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management are essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities
- Working with Project Managers to estimate, plan and control projects
- Providing project management services to support the delivery of projects
- Developing and applying project management processes and tools
- Managing risks and issues within projects/programmes/portfolios
- Communicating with multiple stakeholders across the business
About You
We are looking for a highly motivated and organized individual with a strong background in project management. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively with senior stakeholders. Experience in developing and applying project management processes and tools is essential for this role.
Essential Experience and Abilities
- Highly proficient in project controls management techniques and their application
- Managing risks and issues within projects/programmes/portfolios and communicating to multiple stakeholders across the business
- Excellent communication skills and stakeholder management
- Experience in developing and applying project management processes and tools
Desirable Experience and Abilities
- Demonstrable experience in managing high-complexity projects/programmes or a prioritisation approach within a PMO environment
- Experience in working on projects that have multiple partners from industry, government and academia
- Proficiency in MS Project
