About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Editorial Specialist to join our team at Jones and Palmer. As an Editorial Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and accuracy of all written content produced by our studio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proofreading and Editing: Review and edit all client work, including print and digital materials, to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to style guides.
  • Content Review: Conduct thorough reviews of content to identify factual inaccuracies, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement.
  • Style Guide Management: Maintain and update client style guides to ensure consistency across all projects.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of high-quality content and provide regular updates on project status.
  • Problem-Solving and Adaptability: Identify and escalate issues, and work with the team to find solutions and improve processes.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: A professional qualification in proofreading or a related field, with at least 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Skills and Attributes: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word, and Excel, with experience in PDF markup and tracked changes.
