The Independent Commission for Reconciliation and Information Recovery (ICRIR) is seeking a highly skilled Major Crime Indexing Lead to join their team in Belfast and London. As a key member of the Commission's Major Incident Rooms (MIRs), you will be responsible for managing the input and indexing of documentation generated and received during ICRIR investigations.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Process and index documentation related to Commission investigations into deaths and incidents of serious harm.
  • Maintain knowledge of local and national guidance and legislation relevant to the role.
  • Adhere to legal frameworks, key working principles, policies, and guidance related to documentation handling, processing, and storage.
  • Contribute to the development of an inclusive environment that values diversity and encourages learning and development.
  • Recognize and find ways to achieve reconciliation and restorative justice.
Person Specification:
  • Experience in the investigative process or conducting police or professional investigations.
  • Knowledge of Major Incident Room roles and procedures.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Able to produce clear and concise reports and documents within best practice procedures.
  • Skilled in the use of relevant specialist IT packages, such as HOLMES/CLUE systems and databases.
  • Strong team working skills.
  • Able to develop effective working relationships with colleagues, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Able to break down complex problems and determine appropriate action in investigations.
  • Able to prioritize and plan own workload.
  • Demonstrate the values set out in the ICRIR Code of Conduct.
