Sanctions Analyst Role at Treliant

We are seeking a highly skilled Sanctions Analyst to join our team in Belfast. As a Sanctions Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting our clients in the financial services industry by providing expert advice on sanctions compliance and risk management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple queues of account screening and real-time transaction screening alerts, exercising judgment and sanctions knowledge to recommend dispositions.
  • Conduct open-source research and client outreach for alerts requiring additional information.
  • Advise management by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
  • Maintain accurate tracking of assignments to ensure appropriate deadlines are met.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline or improve current processes.
  • Perform supplementary sanctions due diligence and research for complex escalations.

Requirements:

  • A 2.1 degree in a Finance, Legal, or STEM subject.
  • Experience of working on investment banking projects, either directly for an investment bank or working for a 3rd party providing consulting/outsourced services to an investment bank.
  • Sanctions experience background at a financial services firm, exchange, or regulatory organization.
  • OFAC experience is desirable.
  • Confident communicating with management/stakeholders, producing reports, and helping manage project lifecycles with relevant industry tooling.
  • Strong MS Office skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with good relationship building and engagement skills.
