About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Solar PV Engineer to join our Operations and Maintenance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our solar power systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance, testing, and remedial work on deployed solar PV systems.
  • Carry out preventative and corrective maintenance as per the annual plan.
  • Report activities performed on-site through an online system.
  • Supervise and coordinate third-party contractors.
  • Fault find both AC and DC systems.
  • Conduct job-specific risk assessments and report all near misses to the manager.
  • Ensure compliance with all fire, health, and safety requirements.
  • Occasionally stay overnight if required and participate in a weekend rota once trained on remote monitoring systems.
Requirements
  • Level 3 City & Guilds/NVQ qualification in Electrical Installations.
  • C&G and C&G or equivalent.
  • HV AP qualification and First Aid Trained.
  • Knowledge of AC and DC electrical systems, CCTV, and SCADA systems.
  • 3+ years in Solar PV O&M ground mount.
  • Desirable: Harness Trained, Fire Marshal, H/S IOSH qualification, and Central Inverter manufacturer training.
