Consultant Radiographer in Breast Imaging Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Radiographer in Breast Imaging to join our team at North Tees & Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing expert care to patients with breast-related conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert clinical practice in breast imaging, including mammography, ultrasound, and interventional procedures.
- Lead, supervise, and mentor other team members, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement quality standards and protocols to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Collaborate with clinicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and treatment.
- Participate in research and audit activities to improve patient outcomes and advance the field of breast imaging.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide education and training to staff and students on breast imaging and related topics.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of new services and programs.
- DCR, BSc Radiography or equivalent qualification.
- Qualification in 3 advanced practice disciplines: Image Interpretation, Interventional Procedures, and Ultrasound of the Breast.
- Full Masters level qualification in Mammography.
- Clinical Registration with the HCPC.
- Significant experience in mammography and breast imaging, with a minimum of 12 months autonomous practice post-qualification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clinicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to work to suit departmental needs.
