Product Development Manager

About the Role
The Product Development Manager will oversee the development and quality assurance of Fire Safety Products. This includes reviewing building control consultations for simple, complex, and fire-engineered design submissions. The manager will provide support and guidance to the business while offering customer support remotely and on-site where products have been installed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement product strategies to meet customer needs and stay competitive in the market.
- Design and develop new Fire Detectors and associated ancillaries.
- Resolve problems at their root cause and manage engineering change processes.
- Support the product team in maintaining safety and quality standards.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of products and implement changes.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working in the residential fire industry.
- Degree or equivalent in Design Engineering.
- Good knowledge of fire legislation in England and Scotland.
- Experience in manufacturing fire detection equipment.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to work with minimal supervision.
Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
