About the Role

This is a critical support role within our regional network, requiring a strong understanding of the local landscape and the ability to work collaboratively with regional staff to achieve our investment goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Champion and promote the TPK investment strategy and support regional offices in connecting their regional investment strategy
  • Take a business partner approach to understanding the context of the region and supporting regional staff with investment opportunities
  • Promote best practice funding and contracting processes and systems
  • Provide advice and support to regional staff on the parameters and requirements of investment programs and initiatives
  • Provide quality assurance advice to Regional Directors across investments
  • Provide regional insights to the portfolio teams to support investment improvements
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • At least three years of senior-level experience
  • An ability to identify, build, and actively manage relationships, valuing diverse perspectives and experiences
  • Comfort in working in a tikanga/kaupapa Máori environment, with a degree of fluency in Te reo Máori being beneficial
  • Excellent communication skills and strong critical reasoning
  • An understanding of best practice contracting processes
  • An ability to promote and champion best practice contracting processes
  • Excellent communication skills, with highly developed skills of persuasion and influence
  • An understanding of government and public sector processes
  • The ability to identify and manage risks and issues
  • Demonstrated capability in providing high-quality advice and recommendations
  • Numeracy and competency with spreadsheets and databases
  • A willingness and ability to travel regularly across the designated Te Puni Kôkiri region
  • A relevant tertiary qualification
  • A clean full motor vehicle driver's license
