Law Business Research: A Leader in Data Protection and Privacy Expertise


An exciting opportunity has arisen for a freelance data protection and privacy lawyer, qualified in England and Wales and/or the EU, to join our dynamic team at Law Business Research. As a leading provider of data protection practical resources, we are seeking an experienced professional to support our busy team of knowledge development lawyers in the regular maintenance of Lexology PRO's data protection resources.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Review and update Lexology PRO's UK and/or EU data protection and privacy practical resources to ensure relevant legislation, case law, regulation, and guidance is accurate and current.
  • Liaise closely with the Lexology PRO team and adhere to agreed timeframes for production of content.

Requirements:



  • Lawyer qualified in England and Wales (solicitor or barrister) and/or the EU with at least three years' recent experience advising on data privacy matters, either in private practice or in-house.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the law and market practice in the area of data protection and privacy.
  • Good understanding of legal workflows and the practical needs of in-house lawyers, private practice, and the legal market generally.
  • Excellent written English with a clear, succinct style.
  • Demonstrable experience in writing practical legal content that is concise and easy to digest.
  • Self-motivated and able to effectively manage own time to ensure work completed efficiently and to agreed timescales.
