Our client, a leading process engineering company, is seeking a skilled Technical Author to join their team in Rubery. As a Technical Author, you will play a crucial role in preparing and publishing technical documents in support of projects in which the company participates.
Key Responsibilities:- Document Preparation: Edit and/or rewrite various sources of information into a uniform style and language for use in project documents.
- Review and Quality Assurance: Review Operation & Maintenance manuals to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Asset Data Management: Assemble and issue extensive asset data.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Manage and liaise with external stakeholders on all projects.
- Technical Documentation: Prepare and publish technical documentation as required for project teams.
- Compliance: Comply with company procedures and work instructions, guide notes, and other information that forms part of the quality assurance, health and safety, and environmental management systems.
- Procedure Development: Fully participate in the development of procedures and systems for use within the Administration and/or Project Delivery Department as applicable.
- Communication: Communicate fully with other project team members and others on matters relating to the project.
- Attention to Detail: Attention to detail and accuracy and quality of work.
- Project Management: Ability to meet project time objectives and within budget.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribution to the continuous improvement in technical writing function of the company.
- Education: A minimum of 5 GCSE passes (Grade C or Level 6 or above), to include Maths and English.
- IT Skills: Demonstrable advanced IT skills, especially in Microsoft Word.
