Assistant Quantity Surveyor, Rail Division - Bristol

Role
The UK Rail Business is seeking 2 Assistant Quantity Surveyors to work within the commercial and construction team, ensuring a successful project delivery while maintaining relationships and maximising commercial returns and managing risk.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the commercial team
  • Prepare tenders, variations, and valuations under supervision
  • Liaise with site management
  • Consider risk and opportunity
  • Cash management and timely application of invoices

Qualifications
  • Ability to utilise Microsoft Office tools effectively
  • Able to manipulate and manage data
  • Fully conversant with the Standard Method of Measurement
  • Demonstrate ownership and commercial awareness
  • Effective time management, organisational, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
  • Completed or currently undertaking a qualification in Quantity Surveying (HND/HNC upwards)
  • Preferable to be studying towards Chartership
