About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Housekeeping Manager to join our team at Excelcare Holdings. As a Senior Housekeeping Manager, you will be responsible for leading our Housekeeping Team and ensuring that our care homes are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support the Housekeeping Team to ensure that all areas of the care home are cleaned to a high standard.
  • Develop and implement cleaning rotas to ensure that bedrooms, bathrooms, and communal areas are cleaned regularly.
  • Work closely with the team to complete tasks and ensure that all areas of the care home are maintained to a high standard.
  • Coach and mentor the team to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to undertake their roles effectively.
  • Organize and plan staff rotas, taking into account holidays and ensure that adequate team members are always on site.
  • Ensure deep cleans are undertaken as required, including floors, soft furnishings, fixtures, fittings, windows, and walls.
  • Order cleaning supplies and ensure that all equipment is safely used and maintained.
  • Comply with COSHH and Infection Control Regulations.
  • Engage with residents and promote independence, choice, dignity, and respect at all times.

Requirements:

  • A kind and compassionate approach.
  • Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good time management and organization skills.
  • Flexibility, enthusiasm, and a good sense of humor.
  • An eye for detail and the ability to juggle priorities.
  • Previous experience in a housekeeping role is desirable.
