About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Southco, Inc. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing production equipment to ensure smooth operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair production equipment, electrically and mechanically, to support production requirements.
- Work closely with production personnel, engineers, and shift supervisors to solve manufacturing problems and ensure safety.
- Perform PM events on machinery and equipment to reduce breakdown repairs and maintain accurate records.
- Respond to emergency situations that impact production and safety in a timely manner.
Requirements
- HNC or equivalent in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a completed apprenticeship.
- Experience in operating milling machines, lathes, grinders, band saws, drills, and hand tools.
- Ability to operate and troubleshoot electromechanical assembly equipment and control systems.
- Knowledge of PLC programming in basic and ladder logic is beneficial.
- Basic knowledge of Pneumatics & Hydraulics.
- Willingness to work shifts and a rotational call-out system.
