We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team at Barnet and Southgate College as a Communication Support Assistant. This role involves providing specialist support to students with hearing impairments, ensuring they have equal access to education.


To be successful in this position, you will need to hold a minimum BSL level 3 qualification, CSW qualification, or Deaf Studies Degree, with experience of working with deaf students in an educational environment. You will also require a minimum of Level 3 or equivalent qualification, with grades 5-9 in English and Mathematics.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Provide specialist support to students with hearing impairments
  • Assist students in accessing educational resources and services
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to ensure inclusive learning environments
  • Maintain accurate records of student support and progress

Requirements:



  • BSL level 3 qualification, CSW qualification, or Deaf Studies Degree
  • Experience of working with deaf students in an educational environment
  • Minimum Level 3 or equivalent qualification with grades 5-9 in English and Mathematics
