About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Advanced Practitioner to join our team at the 24h Hyper Acute Sickle Cell Unit (HASCU) at University Hospital Lewisham NHS Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver evidence-based expert clinical care to patients with sickle cell disease, working towards a high degree of professional autonomy.
  • Promote the improvement of quality and clinical effectiveness within resource constraints.
  • Work across professional, organisational, and system boundaries to develop and sustain new partnerships and networks to influence and improve health outcomes and healthcare delivery systems.
  • Participate in teaching programmes relevant to Haematology and Oncology patients.
Person Specification
  • NMC registered Nurse / Other allied health care professional (HCPC) MSc in Advanced Practice or equivalent Non-Medical Prescribing Portfolio of practice evidencing level of practice.
  • Experience teaching patients and staff including health promotion.
  • Experience of leading projects at an organization level.
  • Publication Non-medical Prescribing.
  • Medicines Management.
