Branch Service Manager

Crown Lift Trucks Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Branch Service Manager to join our team in Warrington. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing the Field Service and Workshop activities to ensure seamless delivery of our services to customers.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing a similar team structure, with a minimum of 3 years' experience in a field service management role. You will be responsible for managing the Customer Care team, ensuring efficient planning and administration of field service teams, and providing best-in-class customer service.
You will also be responsible for managing the Branch Parts department, ensuring stock levels are managed and parts replenishments are done to provide best-in-class parts supply to our customers and engineers. Additionally, you will strive to ensure all activities are accomplished in the safest and most effective manner to deliver a high level of customer satisfaction and maximum commercial benefit to Crown and its customers.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, the ability to manage customer and management expectations, and a proven ability to challenge and remove any unnecessary barriers to service delivery. You will also have technical knowledge of the product range and people management experience.
This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires close relations with other internal teams, providing informative feedback and reports on service and product performance. You will ensure SLAs are within agreed targets and action is taken to recover any slippage.
The successful candidate will be a proven leader with a strong track record of delivering results in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for implementing a personal development program, motivating and driving the engineers and Field Service managers through training, mentoring, performance management, improving efficiencies, and Health & Safety programs.
This role will require regular contact and meetings with Directors, Field Service Managers, engineers, and customers. You will engage with and work closely with the sales team and drive sales opportunities through the service team and the wider business.
The successful candidate will be a strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, able to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You will be responsible for promoting a positive can-do attitude, resilience, and responsiveness in the organization by being open and honest about challenges and the actions required to address unexpected developments.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the material handling industry and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for ensuring all new employees receive a full induction to the business and ensuring product awareness and all relevant training is completed.
This role is predominantly office-based in our Warrington Branch, with occasional travel to other locations as required. The successful candidate will be based on current company car policy and will have access to a company car plus fuel card for private use (subject to tax regulations).
