Job Title: Accounts Assistant

Job Type: Part-time

Location: On-site at Skelmersdale

Hours: 16-20 hours per week (flexibility to work extra as required)

Salary: Up to £30,000 FTE (£15,000) depending on experience

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our team at HB People. As an Accounts Assistant, you will be responsible for processing sales and purchase ledger invoices, maintaining the sales and purchase ledgers, and assisting in other areas as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process sales invoices on Sage 50 & EDI
  • Process recharge invoices
  • Process customer receipts
  • Credit control via Customer Portals
  • Sort queries as they arise
  • Maintain the Sales Ledger
  • Maintain Invoice finance
  • Process purchase ledger invoices on Sage 50
  • Process product invoices on PO System
  • Process other invoices for approval and process manually
  • Reconcile Supplier Statements
  • Prepare payments due/remittances to suppliers
  • Maintain the Purchase Ledger

Requirements:

  • Previous experience of Sales and/or Purchase ledger essential
  • Basic Excel skills essential
  • Some accounts system experience required (Sage 50 & EDI desirable, but not essential)
  • Great attention to detail
  • Ability to work on own initiative and focus within an open plan office
  • Ideal candidate will be a car owner/driver due to the location, free car parking
